Jack Rogers Probs

A couple years ago my platinum Jack Rogers started turning a weird, ugly brown color but only on the left shoe. I just assumed it was a defect but now my gold ones are doing the same thing. It looks almost like the gold shine is coming off. Does anyone else have experience with this? Is it possible to fix?
